Coalescer separators filter are mainly used for liquid-liquid separation. It contains two types of filter elements, coalescing filter and separating filter. For example, in the oil-water separation system, after the oil enters the coalescer, it first flows through the filter element of the coalescer to filter out solid impurities, and gather small water droplets into large water droplets. Most condensed water droplets can separate from the oil by their own weight and settle in the sump. The oil then flows through the separator element. Due to the good hydrophobicity and lipophilicity of the separation filter element, the water is further separated. Clean, water-free oil flows from the coalescer. The oil enters the lower part of the filter housing through the intake pipe, and then flows into the filter element from the outside to the inside. At this time, the coarser particles will settle down immediately and be discharged by the drain valve, while the smaller particles will be intercepted by the filter element.
After the clean oil is collected by the filter disc, it is piped out of the coalescer separator. Contaminants deposited on the filter elements can cause the coalescer differential pressure to rise as the oil processed increases. When the pressure difference rises to 0.15Mpa, it means that the condensation filter element is blocked and should be replaced. The oil enters the primary tray from the oil inlet of the coalescence separator, and then enters the primary filter element. After filtration, demulsification, water molecule growth and coalescence, the impurities are trapped in the primary filter element, and the coalesced water droplets are settled in the sedimentation tank. The oil enters the secondary filter element from the outside to the inside, and flows out of the coalescing separator after being collected in the secondary tray. The secondary filter material is hydrophobic, and the oil can pass through smoothly. The free water is blocked outside the filter element, enters the sedimentation tank, and is discharged through the drain valve.
